ProArts Playhouse has been voted "Best Maui Theater Company" by Maui Times Readers; and named "Hawai'i's Favorite Local Theater" by Broadway World. Not too shabby for a small local theater which has been keeping the "Arts Alive on Maui" since 2006. Originally, following the passionate, lifelong champions of local theater, the founders wanted to provide the local community with access to shows and activities that might not otherwise be produced here. Structured as a not-for-profit business and compensating the participants involved, they created Maui's first truly professional theater. This mission has expanded since the Pandemic to include a greater variety of music and theater experiences than are currently available in one location anywhere else on Maui. Come join the fun.
